Boozy Cherries

  • 350 g frozen cherries
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sweetener
  • 120 ml brandy (1/2 cup) (sub. for orange juice)


  1. Pop the cherries and brandy into a non-stick saucepan and set over a medium-low heat.

  2. Stir in the sweetener and bring to a gentle simmer.

  3. Allow to simmer over a low heat for 10 minutes

  4. Using a slotted spoon, remove the cherries from the liquid and set aside.

  5. Continue to simmer the liquid for a further 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and coats the back of a spoon.

  6. Stir in the cherries and pop into sterilised jars.

  7. Seal and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
