Homemade Applesauce

  • 6 apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 360 ml water
  • 2 Tbsp sweetener (I used Sukrin Gold)
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice


  1. Peel, core and dice the apples.

  2. Throw them into a pan, cover with water and add your sweetener.

  3. Briefly stir, pop a lid on the pan, transfer to the hob.

  4. Boil on high heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the water has evaporated. Stir occasionally.

  5. Once the water has cooked off, blitz the cooked apples along with the lemon juice in a food processor or blender until smooth.

  6. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 3 days, or portion and freeze.
