The original recipe called for peanut butter and whey protein but as I didn’t have either on hand I subbed out for Nutella and casein protein. I actually prefer using casein for most of my recipes as I find whey tends to dry everything out. Fortunately this paid off and my Nutella Protein Fudge certainly wasn’t dry!!
Nutella Protein Fudge
- 60 g Nutella
- 50 g Casein Protein Powder
- 10 g Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Mix all the ingredients together and slowly add water until you can form into a ball
You can either split the mixture into 6 pieces and shape into balls or put the whole mix in a silicone mould and cut when hardened
Place in the fridge for an hour for a soft fudge
Alternatively, place in the freezer and allow to thaw before eating
As per adapted recipe you can play around with different nut butters and protein powders!
