If you’ve been watching my competition prep over on my YouTube channel (which I highly recommend you subscribe to by the way!) you would have heard me speak about some amazing chocolate brownies I made and I finally got round to uploading them to the site!
With 12g of protein and 5g of fibre per brownie these Chocolate Protein Black Bean Brownies are a great snack to keep you full and get in plenty of fibre into your diet. Black beans give the brownies a nice soft consistency without any taste. They are also high in fibre and protein too so win/win! They key to these is to cook them for just the right amount of time so they are nice and gooey on the inside but a bit hard on the outside.
Topped with Walden Farms Chocolate Syrup 🙂
Chocolate Protein Black Bean Brownies
- 2 whole eggs
- 60 g chocolate protein powder
- 1 tin black beans, drained and rinsed
- 20 g cocoa powder
- 20 g granulated sweetener
- 100 ml unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Preheat Oven to 160C.
Blitz all ingredients in a blender or food processor until you get a smooth consistency.
Bake on a non stick or silicone baking tin for 20-25 minutes. You should be able to feel the inside is a little wobbly but it will harden up whilst cooling.
Leave to cool and store in the fridge.
