Have you ever wanted to know what the latest protein bar tastes like?
Perhaps you’re looking for simple meals to keep you on track?
Or maybe you want to learn about the latest training and nutrition techniques to fast track your results?
Whether you’re looking for one or all of these, you’ll find it all here at A Taste Of Fitness.
The reason we (Harry & Lottie) created #TeamTOF is to bring together people that love food AND fitness. There seems to be an old myth that getting into great shape means you can’t enjoy food. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram plastered with tupperware boxes filled with cardboard and rabbit food followed by some sort of motivational quote about sacrificing to win.
It doesn’t need to be this way.
We’re here to show you:
- Which healthy treats are good to go and good to throw so you don’t ever have to waste a penny on rock solid protein bars again.
- Super simple recipes with tons of nutrition and flavour – meal prep made easy.
- To-the-point, actionable advice that’ll allow you to take your physique and training to the next level.
So who’s giving you all this stuff?
Harry
Hey I’m Harry, I like fitness (obviously) BUT I also like:
- Food
- Travelling
- Gadgets
- Cars
- Photography
- Videography……I could go on.
The point is, whilst fitness is a huge part of my life it’s not the ONLY part of my life. I use fitness to enhance my life and not take away the other things I enjoy.
For me, it’s all about being able to enjoy EVERYTHING I’m doing including what I do in the gym and what I put on my plate. I eat the food I love (within reason) and train the way I love too.
Doing that makes it easy for me to stay in great shape all year round so when I do some of the other things I love, like jet setting to somewhere sunny, I can take my top off and feel confident in my own skin.
I also compete in natural bodybuilding and powerlifting every now and then. It satisfies my natural competitive edge and pushes me to my limits. It’s not for everyone but it’s nice to know that I don’t just talk the talk but walk the walk too.
If I’m going to help people get strong and look great naked then I’d better do it too.
Lottie
And I’m Lottie. I’m a baker and home-cook, avid reader, keen traveller, a trained musician and a powerlifter. (Say that five times fast).
I wasn’t always a ‘fitness’ person, though. Honestly, the first encounter I had with fitness ended pretty badly. Whilst at University, I developed an eating disorder which left me with a less-than-ideal relationship with food, exercise and body-image, to say the least.
It’s taken me years, but I recovered from my anorexia and worked from the ground up to figure out a healthy approach to nutrition and training.
I discovered strength training. I love the sense of empowerment I get from lifting weights. I love being able to carry my own bags, hell, my own TV up a flight of stairs.
I love working hard to build a body that gives me confidence, whilst still leaving a little wriggle room for… life.
So, my bread and butter (‘scuse the pun) is helping others to do the same. Balance is a learned behaviour!
